Petrified wood

Petrified wood is pretty darn cool because it is a fossil and a crystal! Over time minerals, commonly agate or quartz (and occasionally opal) replace the original chemical body of the specimen. The metaphysical tidbits about this stone suggest a connection to ancient knowledge. For this interested in exploring past lives might find working with stone of benefit.  Sometimes we need to understand the patterns of our past in order to transcend them and live a more pleasurable life.
