As with most dark stones, Jet is often used for feeling grounded and safe.  Remember when you are focused in the here and now, which is another way to describe being grounded, you have the vibrational stance to realize how safe and secure you really are.  This is an important thing to remember if you find yourself easily influenced by other people's energies, as in an empathetic nature.
